At one time, the place where Villaggio Sacre Terre is located was only populated by wild animals. But, after restoring part of the medieval village with the methods of bio-architecture, a group of pioneers decided to leave the city behind and dedicate itself to project originating from the need for greater accountability for current problems, and to accept the evolution of men and women who are uncomfortable with the current socio-economic system.
This led to a centre for testing new opportunities for human beings, a holistic laboratory oriented to the enhancement and growth of human potential to facilitate the process of self-realization (awareness and the recognition and expression of individual talents and qualities). Because we can’t imagine a better society without putting the individual as a whole at its centre.
Villaggio Sacre Terre is “a place where you can dream and become responsible for your own dream”: it encourages individual initiatives in harmony with the aims of the project, for the purpose of taking responsibility for your own life and realization in accordance with the principle of freedom = responsibility; is a community, the successor to the tribe, where you can grow and evolve individually and collectively. It is a project that focuses on the evolution and expansion of individual consciousness to arrive at the construction of a new collective consciousness, useful to the society of the new millennium. A centre of holistic and transpersonal culture, a community for interior and spiritual research, a global village, Villaggio Sacre Terre is an ongoing project, a set of interrelated and interdependent phenomena, a land that welcomes all forms and modes of spirituality in harmony with the qualities of respect, solidarity and benevolence.
In this context, SacreTerre delle Donne – a school of feminine culture and spirituality – originated from the experiences of the women of SacreTerre over several years in the context of research on the feminine and, especially, the need for a radical change in society and culture, to be implemented with a shift to a model based on interdependence and reciprocity rather than domination and control. The school explores and develops the cultural, social, psychological, artistic and spiritual aspects of the feminine, recovering the value that still echoes in ancient traditions and memories, integrating it with the present that every woman lives to help build a future based on justice, community, sustainability and peace.
