Seven, a number that often appears in the observations of natural phenomena (of every time and place), including the maximum expression that is the relationship with the lunar cycle. The men moved in everyday life and in religion that number to which they attributed supernatural powers. It was replicated for both convenience and control of events and to give more value to conventions, rules and even decisions in various subjects.
So the week consists of seven days as a result of observation of the lunar cycle and hence its need to control the lives of farmers, and the ancient Romans used the number seven as a catalyst of power and wisdom so in different colleges, both laic (eg judges “septenviri”) and religious (eg “septenviri epulones”), the components were seven.
However, it is in the arts that seven expresses its strength from architecture, to painting, music and poetry (as in D’Annunzio Laus Vitae). But it is in painting and music that we can see and hear indissoluble ties every day, eternal and immutable connections, mathematical relationships that govern actions and reactions. In fact there are seven colors of the rainbow and seven notes in the major scale.
Invisible and immutable natural laws for which it is perhaps possible to define absolute beauty as harmonious sequence of color or tonal degrees. The sequence of degrees not in harmony can create in a song listener a strong sense of discomfort, such as a sense of unfinished work or even a screech, while the harmonic composition can lead very far as in the case of snakes caster.
The harmony of colors in nature can claim among other things as a death trap or as a reminder to play, whereas in fact the chromatic dissonance may deter from approaching prey.
Seven, for fermoeditore, represents the union of the past and the future, the relationship experiences, defeats and victories, the transit point to a location where we try as always to harmonize with images and words the best feelings we all have, although lately we are increasingly inundated with a way of life that is not governed by the number seven, as nature would want, but unfortunately the six six six of human wickedness.
