Between a commitment to another, some relaxing time is sacred. For this reason Fermoeditore has created some smart entertaining games, dedicated to his website visitors (www.fermoeditore.it) and Apple Store users. I will illustrate in short, they are all to try.
Poems Generator
Inspired by Futurist concept of “words in freedom”. On the home page of Fermoeditore website, in the menu on the left and just below the entry “magazine” you will find the Poems Generator button. Clicking upon it a page will appear, just click on “create” to get automatic texts always new composed by the casual union of various phrases extracted from Fermoeditore‘s books. Each time you reload the generator it creates though a new poem, displaying compositions of three sentences generated by a random mathematical sequence: every line a single phrase, every poem a triplet composition. So far, these sentences are 160, or 160 to cube different poems, amounting to more than 4 millions of possible compositions.
The result will be less absurd than you can imagine, and inspired just to Futurist Paroliberismo.
Music Generator “Vintage drum-machine”
Let’s go back to the home page. The next button is called Music Generator, it allows even the less experienced to create a backing track selecting the drum sounds available. From the top panel you can start or stop the playback, change the pace/TEMPO, delete the song and start over. The drumset is deliberately vintage and the selectable sounds are typical of analog drum machines. The created rhythms can become, why not, excellent background music suitable to accompany the vision of a Fermoeditore book (e.g. Brownfield, with industrial archeology images).
Reversi Customized App
Reversi, game created by Lewis Waterman in 1880, is the ancestor of Othello, patented in 1971 by Goro Hasegawa (for more info see the Wikipedia page). Downloadable for free with iTunes at this link, the app has been customized with dynamic and random backgrounds inspired by Fermoeditore illustrations and book covers. You just have to download it and take the challenge!
